Hunter and I have been hanging out at my parents home in Alpine while Rob and the girls are on a camping/fishing trip in Vernal, UT. Since Rob has my camera, I don't have any pictures of my super-sparkly and absolutely adorable Glitter Toes. I went with my sister and sister-in-law to get a pedicure at a place where they do Glitter Toes. (Apparently other places do them too, but this lady is patenting her name of Glitter Toes). Does anyone know of a place in Arizona that does these? I will show them to all of you when I get home, you will love them!!! The only other exciting thing we have done so far is go to the Lehi Rodeo. Hunter loved the motorcross race and the tractors that brought out the ramps for the motorcycles. It is really lonely being here without my girls and Rob, but I have been lucky to have my niece Mckinzie who has kept me company!

Happy 7th Birthday Lulu!!!
I can't believe Alyssa is 7! We had a low-key party today for her actual birthday. Her real party is going to be in Utah. I made brownies (Lissy LOVES chocolate!!!) and the Malletts came over to celebrate with us. They gave her a Camp Rock cd that she is so excited to listen to. I'm the worst mother of the year because I forgot to DVR Camp Rock last night, and tonight we didn't see that it was on until it was almost over. Brooklyn is soooo in love with Joe Jonas. When American Idol was still on, my girls were sitting on the couch daydreaming about their future last names.
Brooklyn- "Brooklyn Jonas sounds so good together!"
Alyssa- "I like Alyssa Efron."
Ashley- "I"m going to be Ashley Ryan." (She of course meant Seacrest. At least they all like cute boys:)
Anyway, back to the birthday. I have never seen someone try so hard to blow out one candle that was not a "trick candle". Here is Alyssa blowing.
And here she is laughing so hard because she still can't seem to blow out that darn flame. Rob finally had to take the candle out of the brownies and put it right in front of her mouth. She was laughing so hard she almost fell off the counter. (Yes, this is the same girl that broke her arm falling off a table a few years ago. You'd think I would have learned my lesson.)
Why is it that I always seem to overestimate how much Christmas wrapping paper I need, yet I always underestimate how much birthday wrapping paper I need? I bought 1 roll of the Costco sized Christmas wrapping paper for each member of my family about 3-4 years ago, and I still have more. I'm so sick of using the same stuff every year. We should have a wrapping paper swapping party before Christmas. Anyone else have this problem? I opted to just not wrap some of her gifts this time, it was either that or red Santa wrapping paper.
One of Alyssa's favorite gifts was her Indiana Jones Legos. We got her some and so did her Uncle Ryan and Aunt Courtney. Hunter was more of a destroyer, but the girls have actually learned how to follow directions to build the Legos the right way.
Happy Birthday Lu! I love this girl!
We ended the night watching Extreme Home Makeover. Hunter actually enjoyed it because of all the tractors and this episode even featured Elmo.

Hot Off the Grill IN-N-OUT Burgers...in Our Swimming Pool
For all of you in Utah, Oregon, Michigan, Missouri, Florida, and so on...Check this out!!! IN-N-OUT just opened about 2 minutes from my house. It may have been a miserable 110 degrees yesterday, but I know none of you are floating in a swimming pool eating a hot-off-the-grill burger from IN-N-Out!

Why I Have Never Paid More Than $80 For A Purse
Isn't this purse cute? I thought so too. Today the kids and I went shopping at Santan Mall to get some gifts for Rob for Father's Day. As I was walking through Dillards, I stopped to look at this purse. My girls thought it was just as cute as I did, so after I peeked at the price tag, I asked them to guess how much it cost. Brooklyn was the closest at $105. After I told them that it was actually $298.00, I said, "Can you imagine me spending this much on a purse and then having a bottle of milk spill inside of it." We then finished our shopping and went on to Costco. When we were done there, much to my dismay, as I was digging through my purse to find my car keys, everything inside was covered in sunscreen. One of my darling little girls (Ashley, I think) had been sitting on my purse in the cart while we shopped. I had left a bottle of spray-on sunscreen in there (without a lid of course) and she had emptied it out...all of it...gone! Rob you don't need to worry, I won't be buying any $300.00 purses any time soon:)

Utah to Las Vegas
We are finally home! We had a great trip to Utah and then stopped in Las Vegas for 3 days to see Rob's family. I hope I'm ready to go out of town again in a few weeks!!! I came home to dead flowers that I kept meaning to plant before we left town, a bag of moldy bagels that we left in the microwave(that is where I store my bread...weird, I know), and we brought home a car full of luggage and presents that both grandmas bought for our kids.
My sister-in-law Stephanie is a cheer coach and practiced her new routine on the girls. They had so much fun!!!
This is Rob shooting my brother-in-laws AK-47 that my sister didn't know he had. Kristi enjoyed a shopping spree that followed to pay Jake back for not informing her about the gun.
Ryan and his most prized possession
Now, on to Vegas. My in-laws actually live on Mt. Charleston which is on a mountain west of Las Vegas. When we pulled into town they met us at a campground below their house for dinner. This is Grandma Jeanne blowing bubbles with Chonch.
Do you like this shirt that Hunter has on? I liked it, but Brooklyn told me she hates it because it looks like he has two wives. I guess I need to limit my viewing of Fox News because she clearly thinks he looks like a Polygamist in this shirt. We went to Claim Jumper for dinner and Hunter stayed very busy dipping his fries in this ketchup.
Rob's parents wanted to take us to the Moapa Indian Reservation about 30 minutes north of Las Vegas to set off fireworks. I don't think there are any safety standards for the fireworks that are sold at this place. Few things excite Rob like deer and fireworks. Notice how calm everyone looks in this picture.
We thought Rob was nuts when he held this firework launcher...we realized he was even more nuts when he lit off something that started shooting off huge flames in all directions. The first time the guys next to us had to dive out of the way of the oncoming ball of fire. The second time it came right at all of us and hit Rob's brother's car and then bounced off and almost went into my car which would have undoubtedly hit the bag of fireworks sitting inside. Sorry about your windshield Kris!
Thank goodness for rolling luggage!

Our surprise trip to Utah...or was it???
We like to surprise our girls about every other time that we go to Utah. It has worked very successfully up until our latest attempt. Since our girls all know the route we take to get to Utah, this time we told them that we were going to Yellowstone and the only way to get there is by going through Utah. They were all very excited and didn't seem too suspicious. By the time we got to Orem we tried to tell the girls we were in Idaho. We got off a different exit and took different side streets to get to my parents house in Alpine. We started to get suspicious when Alyssa and Brooklyn pointed out the Cold Stone that they have been to and Cabo Grill. Then they continued to act like they believed we were in Idaho. When we passed the Alpine Credit Union, Alyssa said, "How come we just passed a sign that says welcome to Alpine?" And then once again, they acted like we were in Idaho. Anyway, at least Ashley was surprised. Brooklyn and Alyssa were nice enough to make Rob and I think that we were clever:) We are going to have to wait a while before pulling that trick again:(
Grandma Clark, Hunter and Cooper
It wasn't enough that they were all wading in the water, the girls then had to throw rocks in the lake. I think Brooklyn found the biggest one!
